At the BNC’s Annual General Meeting on November 4th, the 2018-19 board of directors was elected. The board remains the same with two exceptions. Dorota Porazinska departs due to relocation. Andrew Lainis joins as a voting director after handling the treasurer role for the last year following his appointment to the role by a vote of the board due to a vacancy.
The BOD elects its officers at its next meeting. Those officers serve for one year.
Thanks to D for her years of service to the BNC’s board. An accomplished researcher, she engaged the board in kind and friendly terms devoid of any self importance. She worked and collaborated on tasks, especially when it was a good fit for her skills. She kept the board on track in a gentle way, mostly by simply bringing her perspective which was distinct from the portion of the board that is veteran and prone to act out of habit. Good luck to D, she’ll be missed!
