The board of the BNC recently made its roughly annual grant to the Boulder Nordic Junior Race Team. A parent run organization, the BNJRT’s resources approach a low point just as athletes qualify for national or, sometimes, international competitions. The number of athletes who qualify is hard to predict with certainty.
The intention of the grant from the BNC to the BNJRT is to support need and excellence among BNJRT skiers this time of year. The grant occasionally subsidizes coaching costs associated with championship events.
