End of 2020-21 Season

2021 marks 35 years since the BNC’s first official financial record. It also marks 35 years of grooming beginning with a winter grooming the Eldora nordic system on a year when the resort had no owner/operator.

The board of directors and most operations of the BNC recess from about April to August or September. There is a plan to send out an end-of-season e-newsletter with a link to a survey. That will be posted and shared across social media as usual.

The BNC exists thanks to memberships (join here), donations (donate here), and partnerships. The BNC is grateful to The City of Boulder, The City of Boulder Parks and Recreation Department, CU Boulder, the Head and Assistant Coach of the CU Nordic Ski Team, The Wilderness Exchange for a special in-kind partnership, an anonymous family who donates much needed storage space, Boulder Nordic Sport, and many other partners in the community.

Almost all of these partnerships exist based on minimal formal agreement which keeps the BNC’s administrative costs very low. Rather, the vast majority of the BNC’s partnerships are handshake deals based on trust and shared interest in the BNC’s simple mission. Thanks to everyone who makes these partnerships possible.

Hopefully the BNC’s Annual Ski Swap shared with the Boulder Nordic Junior Race Team can resume in a post pandemic autumn 2021.

Otherwise, have a wonderful and healthy summer!
