General – Free Nordic Ski Lessons: Check out three opportunities for free Nordic lessons this season! Both classic and skate instruction will be offered for all levels of skiers. Morning and afternoon sessions available. Free lessons are available to everyone but only Grand Nordic members will receive a free trail pass and free rental gear on lesson day. 12/7 – Free Nordic Ski Lessons at Devil’s Thumb: Devil’s Thumb Ranch is offering FREE Nordic ski lessons at Tommelfest! Both classic and skate instruction will be offered for all levels of skiers (adults and kids ages 6 and up) by coaches/instructors from DU, DTR and Grand Nordic. Morning and afternoon sessions available then stick around for great food and drink, a keg toss contest and fun for the kids. Free lessons are available to everyone but only Grand Nordic members will receive a free trail pass and free rental gear on lesson day. 2/8/20 – Ranch2Ranch Ski Trek Fest: Join Grand Nordic for a 12 km cross-country point-to-point ski trek from Snow Mountain Ranch to Granby Ranch via the Fraser to Granby Trail. Park at Granby Ranch and ride the free shuttle bus (8:30 or 9:30 am) to Snow Mountain Ranch. Check-in (same day registration available also) between 9 and 10:30 am and then hit the trail. Fully supported with aid stations. Great for classic, skate, back-country skiers and snowshoers. BBQ lunch included. Want to challenge yourself? Ski the course out and back! Round-trip skiers please at Snow Mountain Ranch and check-in prior to leaving. Pre-register online and save $5!
