CU South

The Boulder Nordic Club grooms The University of Colorado – Boulder’s South Campus during periods of snow between November and mid-March.

The property is accessed from Table Mesa Drive, near the on-ramp for southbound Highway 36.

Because of the rocky surface the property requires 6-8 inches of accumulation for grooming.

The ~3 km of groomed trail include the Buffalo Ranch XC Running Course on the west side of the campus and a few offshoots. We do not groom the large loop around the perimeter of the CU-South property, but this is open for skiing.

At the start of the 2014-15 season the BNC purchased a second grooming rig that is stationed at CU-South, enabling simultaneous grooming of North Boulder Park and CU South. Thank you to the many individuals and organization that contributed the funds to make this purchase possible!

By agreement with CU, it is requested that skiers using CU South be BNC members.
